Aqua City

Having failed to find somewhere decent to eat in the old town we walked to a nearby shopping complex called Aqua City where we ate German food (well it made a change). And very nice it was too!

At this point I'd realised I'd left my cap in the taxi. So if you're ever in Nanjing and come across a rip off cab driver with a camo style beige NY baseball cap, ask him where he got it.

Some authentic Chinese scaffolding.

The metro in Nanjing issues plastic tokens instead of cards. They can still be read by the chip reader, something that confused us momentarily in trying to figure how to get about. The dearest journey for us was 40 yuan (40 pence) back from this mall to the hotel.

Aqua City is located in the South of the city within walking distance of the Confucious Shrine. Just don't ask me where as we headed off in a random direction :) (It's to the North-West)
