Within half an hour of arriving in Shanghal we were at our first park for the day, Renmin or People's Park. This is a small open space surrounded by large buildings that offers the locals some repsite and shade.
There is also a small collection of rides at one end of the park including a dragon coaster, which was the reason that we had come here.
It wasn't that bad, but better than the one the day before. It lacked the neck breaking kick of that.
Thunderbird 1 had been recycled.

Peoples Park is just a small little park in the centre of the city, but the contrast from the open spaces with the surrounding towering buildings made this a park that I liked. A great introduction to the city!
Peoples Park is across the road from People's Square station on Lines 1,2,8. It is one of the main interchange stations in the city so expect crowds.
