Heping Park

We started today with a little mop up of 2 parks in Shanghai but prior to those our trip guides surprised us with a park and coaster that nobody else knew about, including myself who had spent months researching where to go.

The Shanghai surprise then was called the Outer Space Flying Car in Heping Park, not far from the hotel. This was buried in the back corner of a small park under the trees (which is why I hadn't found it). It was a cute little ride with a single helix and that we were sent around 3 times. What made this even more interesting is that the ride was being run before 8am.

8 out of 10 Kats preferred this to any other morning wake up call!

The rest of the park was being used by the locals to do their exercises. We saw some beautiful displays of fan dancing, sword dancing and Tai Chi. Photos could be taken once the lenses were wiped clean, the transition from air conditioned coach to insane heat had caused them all to steam up, and yes my glasses did so too.

Heping Park is located a short walk from Siping Road station, which can be found at the intersections of lines 8 & 10
